Senior Policy Advisor at FATF

Tom Neylan heads the Policy Development Group within the Secretariat of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the international standard-setter for combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism and proliferation. He was responsible for the last comprehensive revision of the FATF standards and for the development of the methodology for mutual evaluations. Recent work has ranged from revising the rules on information sharing and data protection, to criminalisation of terrorist financing, to the regulation of virtual assets and development of measures to combat the financing of WMD proliferation. Tom is also responsible for leading Mutual Evaluations of several FATF member countries.
