Rachel Balsham

Rachel Balsham is the Deputy CEO of MFS Africa. She is responsible for investor relations, strategic partnerships, and measuring and strengthening the company’s social impact. Prior to joining MFS Africa, she was a consultant with Bain & Co., where she worked on strategy and operations projects for telecom and financial services clients. She began her career at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, working on large-scale development grants in West Africa. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School and an AB from Smith College. Rachel’s most recent appearances have included topics on intra-African remittances and global money transfers; the impact of collaborations and partnership for traditional banking and fintech communities; and fintech investments.
