Marcela Gonzales

Marcela Gonzalez is Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Ria Money Transfer.
Prior to this position, she was - for more than a decade - Ria Money Transfer’s Managing Director for the UK and Ireland.

With more than 20 years in the financial industry, and recipient of many prestigious accolades such as: “Most Outstanding Women in Business” by CEO Monthly, “Most Reliable Money Transfer Company in the UK”, and most recently the “Highly Commended Director of the Year International” by The IOD (Institute of Directors), Marcela is one of the top women in the money transfer industry in Europe.

A Colombian national, she holds a master’s degree in economics and International Trade from Barcelona University. In 2017 she was certified as a Chartered Director by the Institute of Directors (IoD) in the UK, and her exemplary career in business and as a motivational speaker earned her a place as a selected member of the Society of Leadership Fellows of St George’s House, Windsor Castle.
