David Josephs

David joined Visa in 2015, bringing over 15 years of experience in financial services, card processing and payment networks. David leads Visa Direct – Visa’s Push Payments Product – for Europe. Prior to leading Visa Direct, he drive Visa’s efforts to deliver products and services to the merchant and acquirer community in Europe. David has led Visa’s North America Debit and Prepaid Product organisations, overseeing the largest product sets within Visa. He helped expand Visa usage into eCommerce as well as under-penetrated segments, converting cash and checks to electronic payments.

His experience before joining Visa includes leading prepaid businesses at JPMorgan Chase as well as extensive experience in both issuing and acquiring. David spent nearly a decade as a management consultant as well as serving for five years as a Legislative Assistant to a U.S. Member of Congress and U.S. Senator. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
